How to Apply for a BaBeeCard

To successfully apply for a BaBeeCard you need to be over 18 and a UK resident. Simply go to the 'Apply Now' page and follow the link to the online application form. You will need to supply details of your name, address, date of birth, email address and mobile phone number. Once this has been completed, your application will be processed and once approved and payment has been received, you will receive your PIN and Card within two weeks. Your PIN will arrive first, followed by your Card a couple of days later.

How to Activate your BaBeeCard

Once you receive your PIN and BaBeeCard, you will need to activate it. You can do this by going to the 'Activate' link from the website and following the simple steps to activate your card.

How to Use your BaBeeCard

Once activated, your BaBeeCard can be used for point of sale purchases or ATM cash withdrawals anywhere that MasterCard is accepted. It can also be used for Internet or Mail Order transactions. There are some places where your BaBeeCard will not be accepted, please refer to the Terms & Conditions for more information on these.

Topping up your BaBeeCard online

In order to top up your BaBeeCard online, you will have to first login to 'My Account' and go to the 'Register Cards' page. Here you must register a debit card to Top-Up from. You can register up to 3 cards from which to Top-Up. Once this is done, you can select one of the registered cards to Top-Up funds onto your BaBeeCard. Simply go to the 'Top-Up' page and follow the steps to top up your BaBeeCard.

How to Move Funds Between BaBeeCards

You can send funds between all BaBeeCards, so if your friends or family also have a BaBeeCard you will be able to move funds between them. This can be done:

• By logging into the website and selecting the ''Send funds to Card' or 'Send funds to Mobile' links
• By using the SMS Text system - see SMS section below for full details

How to Use the Interactive Voice Response (IVR)

The Interactive Voice Response is an automated telephone system that you can call. You will be prompted to enter your card number and security code. Once you have this information you can then use the IVR to:

• Hear your BaBeeCard Balance
• Hear your Latest Transactions
• Transfer to a Customer Services Representative

Simply call 0845 345 4738 and follow the voice instructions.

How to use the SMS Functionality

In order to use the SMS commands, you will first need to have a mobile phone number registered to your BaBeeCard. Your mobile number can be registered once you have logged in and selected the 'Edit Details' page.

Once this is done, you will be able to use the following commands with your BaBeeCard by using the commands below and sending your text to 00447797805215. You will be charged by your mobile phone provider for the cost of your text.

Locking your Card

To temporarily lock your card, text LOCK <Your PIN> to 00447797805215

Unlocking your Card

To unlock your card, text UNLOCK <Your PIN> to 00447797805215

Sending money to another BaBeeCard using the cardnumber

To send money to another BaBeeCard, text TOCARD <Your PIN> <Recipient’s Card number> <Amount> to 00447797805215

Example: TOCARD 1234 5412751234567890 5000

Note that the amount is expressed as pounds/pennies. So in the example above 50.00 was sent.

Sending money to another BaBeeCard using a mobile phone number

If you do not know the recipients card number, you can still send money by using their mobile number as long as they have a BaBeeCard which is registered to that number of course! Send this text
SEND <Your PIN> <Recipient’s Mobile Phone Number in International Format> <Amount> to 00447797805215

Example: SEND 1234 00447795811234 5000
